Prompt Queue

Queue follow-up prompts while the agent keeps building, so work continues without waiting on each response.

How It Works

  • Send follow-up prompts while the agent is already working.
  • Ideavo automatically adds them to a visible queue above the chat input.
  • Prompts run one by one after the current execution finishes.
  • Queueing is enabled by default, with no fixed UI limit beyond available credits.
  • The agent keeps working through the queue even if you leave the project, until the queue is empty.
  • If the agent needs a permission or answer, it pauses and asks as usual.

Queued messages run in first-in, first-out order. The first prompt you queue is the first prompt the agent runs after the current execution completes.

Queue Controls

  • Pause or resume the full queue.
  • Remove an individual queued prompt with the X icon.
  • Clear all queued prompts from the queue header.
  • Review attachments added to queued prompts.
  • Collapse the queue when you want more room in chat.

Important Notes

  • Queued prompts cannot be reordered or edited.
  • If you need to change a prompt, remove it and send a new one.
  • Removing a prompt may fail if execution has already started.
  • If the queue is paused, new prompts are appended and wait until you resume.
  • Pause state persists when you leave and come back, unless the sandbox is killed.
  • Queued prompts belong to the current session and are discarded when you start a new session.

If the queue is not appearing or working properly, your project may be using an older ideavo-code version. Ping us on Discord and we will help you update it.
